Rules & content

What participants doTeams design and build a city model around the UN SDGs, based on the characteristics of the city or town they represent and including a mandatory 100-year vision. The model must use recycled materials, include functional moving parts, be built to scale, demonstrate solutions to current challenges, and not exceed 25 in (W) × 50 in (L) × 20 in (H). Teams then deliver a 10-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A; optional PowerPoint, display-board and physical-product support may be used but is not scored.
